Fuck me Again! (31 July 2007)

It seems like a lifetime ago, but in late May 2007 the MySpace gods deleted my primary profile.  Since then I've turned this, my "Jesus Crisis" music profile, into my default profile.  I kinda floundered in MySpace limbo for awhile, not sure how to develop this new page, afraid to put too much effort into it lest it too should be summarily deleted.

Those of you who have become my friends since then are viewing a page that isn't nearly as representative of me, John, as my other had been.  Some days I feel like putting all of me into it, like I had before.  Other days, I simply feel like saying "Fuck MySpace!"

My previous page had been primarily designed as a place to share my love of the arts and all that is beautiful in the world, as well as a convenient place to  connect with family and old friends who don't live near me.

Lately, my revamped Jesus Crisis page has not been as consistently satisfying to me... or as high in quality.  That must change soon (and it's no one's fault but my own) or I will simply abandon it and start afresh... or not.

Anyway, as you know, I've in the past two months posted a variety of blogs and bulletins relating to the fact that I was once incarcerated.  I've posted poetry I wrote years ago while in jail, as well as some pictures of me taken there and who knows what else.  And a few of my newer My Space friends have had sufficient courage or curiosity to ask me about it.

I am currently writing a book about my experiences with the "Justice" system and if there is sufficient interest among my MySpace friends and readers, I will begin posting excepts, anecdotes, et cetera from this book on my blog.

Meanwhile I will ask you to read my May 30th blog entry, posted in frustration immediately after I discovered that my other profile had been deleted without warning by MySpace.  I don't feel anywhere near as bitter as I did at the time.  If anything, the experience has helped me put MySpace in perspective.  It can be useful, informative and even fun, but it fails miserably as a surrogate for real life.  The world and beings around us are OurSpace.  And OurSpace should be far more important than MySpace any day.

Then please leave a comment either here or there.

Thanks,
John, a.k.a. Jesus Crisis
