     At least the Democratic candidates looked like themselves and the Republicans didn't.  I think there's a metaphor in that.

     McCain screamed on the Senate floor that a colleague was a "FUCKING JERK!" and no one seemed to care.  But let a Democrat howl and everyone worries he's unstable.  I just read today that George Bush senior has endorsed John McCain.  "Read my lips" - we couldn't trust him when he endorsed W - but maybe he's hoping we've forgotten about that.
