As Promised: More Hillary Rally Video and Photos
I promised about a week ago, in my Icicles for Hillary blog, that I would soon post more pictures and video from the Hillary Clinton rally my wife and I attended on 15 February 2008 in Lyndhurst, Ohio. Today I keep that promise.

Here are about ten minutes of video I shot at the rally and didn't post in Icicles for Hillary. It includes glimpses of the freezing crowd (including my wife and me) that waited outside to see Senator Clinton - as well as a quick peek at the famous Shaw High School Band that has been invited to perform at the Olympics in Beijing, and stirring endorsements of Hillary by General (and former presidential candidate) Wesley Clark and Ohio Governor Ted Strickland.
One reason I'm finally posting this today is that I now have room on my computer for the video I'd kept stored on my camera. Even better, I will be seeing Senator Clinton again Tuesday morning (26 February) at a Town Hall in Lorain, Ohio, about twenty minutes from my house.
You too can attend Senator Clinton's Town Hall at Admiral King High School in Lorain by visiting Hillary's website and submitting an RSVP. Doors open at 10 a.m. and the Town Hall will begin at noon. Here's the link if you want to be there: http://www.hillaryclinton.com/actioncenter/event/view/?id=9928.
Ohio's primary election is held on 4 March and we can make a difference! I will try to see Barack Obama and John McCain around here, too - if I have a chance. If I do, you'll be sure to hear about it here. Right now, I'm convinced Hillary is the best candidate for the job of President of the United States. But I will wholeheartedly support whoever the Democratic nominee ends up being.
In the interest of getting this blog posted as soon as possible, I will save my stories of our time at the Hillary rally in Lyndhurst for a future blog. But for now I'd like to at least share a few more photos my wife and I took on that occasion.

Maybe next time I'll get Hillary's autograph, too!

I'll try to post a blog about tomorrow's Town Hall with Hillary in Lorain, Ohio, as soon as possible. I might even get lucky and have the opportunity to personally ask the Senator a question. Stay tuned... and wish me luck. Peace....

Yes, I believe he was, although he's only been in office since January 2007 and the Ohio Senate and House approved it by such an overwhelming margin that he couldn't have successfully vetoed it. I really do like Ted - more than any governor we've had. And Stephanie is excellent. She gave a damed fine speech before Hillary - way better than Ted's and Wesley's - but I didn't catch it on tape because my camera battery was dying and I was afraid I wouldn't get all of Hillary's if I did. So I turned it off for a while. As it was my battery indicator was flashing though Clinton's entire speech - and the camera died not long after she was finished.

You go, girl! lol
I'd prefer a first name bass to a first name trebel - but that's just me, I guess.
Better wait till January to raise that fist too high - wouldn't want you to end up at Guantanamo Bay or something.
If only someone would repo the Republicans!

LOL... thanks, Terese! It's unfortunate that Michigan's and Florida's delegates aren't going to count (and both favored Hillary). But I think it would be counterproductive for Hillary to try to fight that now.

Where's the justice? That's almost dumber than the pregnant chads.

Speaking of dumb... I could easily imagine George Bush, when the issue of pregnant chads came up, wondering aloud how anyone named Chad could be pregnant. "You mean one o' those homo sapiens?" Uh... no Mr. Bush, you mean homosexuals, and that's not what we mean by pregnant chads. Would also give a new meaning, I suspect, to hanging chads... lol.

LOL! You're hillarious. Maybe you should be president. At least then, we'd have something to smile about.

This is a wonderful blog John. You really did a professional presentation.
It is wonderful to see young adults out there for their candidate.
Even though, I personally won't vote for Hillary, I admire your patriotism. This one election will more than likely change the face of our Country.
Love to Geri Lynn

Backing Hillary today is the only hope for the Democratic Party that has split already over both her and Obama. If you all don't see the handwriting on the wall of the last two elections we are going to be a totally conservative country run by special interests and going down the drain with the electoral college deciding who is president. Don't kid yourselves. It could happen.
It has before and the Democrats are now facing the problems of splitting this party in two. Watch and see and read my blog on why the Democrats Must Win this Election.

I agree that we cannot afford to split the party. And I was encouraged by Barack's statement at the Cleveland debate last night that Hillary is perfectly qualified to be a good president ("I think I'd be better," he said, "or I wouldn't be" running). It was a gracious and endearing moment. I would add that although I believe Hillary would be better, I am satisfied that Obama also has the potential to be a good (and perhaps even great) President. Regardless, I think there is little debate that either candidate is a better choice for our country than the Republican alternatives.

gen clark signing your poster is pretty cool.

I was pretty happy that he did so. I had contemplated voting for him in 2004... but by the time Ohio had its primary that year, Clark had withdrawn and Kerry's nomination was almost a fait accompli.
