What kind of thinker am I?
While I was a resident of the Horizon dormitory at Marion Correctional Institution, we had a class every Monday night called "Interfaith Enrichment," led by volunteers from the Interfaith Center for Peace in Columbus.
In that class, probably 7 years ago, I first encountered a test similar to this one. Interestingly, I received the same results today as I did then.

![]() There's many ways that you can learn - and you're up for any of them. You relate well to other people, and you do well working in groups. I can't take the thinking test. My thoughts get in the way while I'm trying to think about the answers. lol

P.S. Did the video that Geri took of you giving your talk to Spectrum on the Horizon Program come out OK? The room was very dark and I couldn't get them to turn the lights up while you were talking since they had been turned down to see the video.

And by the way there were many good comments yesterday at Spectrum about your talk. Everyone thought it was excellent. I believe a donation will be forthcoming to the Horizon non-profit organization. Kudos to you for doing this.
Yesterday an Oberlin professor of psychology gave a talk on racism and it was very interesting in the light of Obama's recent speech on this. Are most blacks half or more white? This is interesting dialogue.

LOL... I did this quiz the other day on someones page..... don't even remember whose... but ended up with the same result as you.
It does fit though... I hate adversarial and competitive environments.. This also melds well with my Jungian porfile of ENFP or whatever...

Speaking of Jungian, I took this blogger to a Jungian Intensive Journal Workshop that lasted a weekend a couple of years ago. I wonder if he still has his journal
with his random and abstract thoughts in writing. Perhaps it has had some effect on the way he thinks today.

I certainly do have that journal.
I pretty much have all my journals from 1985 through the present day - with only a couple tiny gaps.

Thanks for sharing, Chris!
I can't remember where I found this either - perhaps on one of our mutual friends' profiles. I find it interesting that we had the same result here, although I'm an INFP. Wonder how the NFP part ties in with this....

Your Thinking is Abstract and Sequential
You like to do research and collect lots of information.
The more facts you have, the easier it is for you to learn.
You need to figure things out for yourself and consider all possibilities.
You tend to become an expert in the subjects that you study.
It's difficult for you to work with people who know less than you do.
You aren't a very patient teacher, and you don't like convincing people that you're right.

Thanks, mb! Very interesting... but I never really envisioned you as not being very patient... lol.

perhaps my answers will be different in a few days...
does this mean i don;t play well with others? hahahaha...

This is so true. I used to me more abstract...but maturity has made me less so. I'd like some back though.
Your Thinking is Concrete and Random
You are naturally inquisitive and curious.
You're excited by new ideas, and you are a true independent thinker.
You are interested in what is possible. You like the process of discovery.
You are often experimenting, challenging old ideas, and inventing new concepts.
Rules, restrictions, and limit don't really work for you.
You have to do things your own way, and you can't be bothered to explain yourself.

Thanks for sharing your results, bro! Subjectively speaking, I feel like I'm much more concrete than I was in my early days. But that said, I really can't find anything to disagree with in my quiz results.

That was a hard test.I think I got them all wrong because it said my thinking was concrete and sequential.

Hi, Terese! I just went with the first thing that came to mind, no matter how tempted I was to change my answer.

When I took a similar quiz in prison, I can't recall how many questions it had. More than this one.... I'm always skeptical of these things, too. But in this case, I can't really argue with my results. Hmm....

These are the results on me after taking this test. They are very accurate about me.
Your Thinking is Concrete and Sequential
You are precise, orderly, and realistic.
You tend to get to the point and get things done.
Difficult, detailed work is easy for you. You take things step by step.
Time limits aren't a problem for you either. You work well with deadlines.
What does drive you crazy is any sort of task that isn't precisely laid out.
You don't like anything to be ambiguous. You prefer to deal with the facts at hand.
