Or just Google Dick Cheney indictment.

WHOO HOO!!! Granted, it's still not for the major crimes he SHOULD be indited for, ya know, war crimes, treason, conspiracy to commit murder by over 4,000 cases just counting American lives, conspiracy to commit murder by over 200,000 lives counting all the Iraqi civilians that've died...
Now, if some federal prosecutor would just have the balls to go after Cheney on some of these other issues, this private prison RICO case would gain enough legs to make it in front of a jury. As it is now, they'll find some reason for the case to be dismissed six or eight months after Cheney's out of office.

I'm glad to see this posted here... I was so pleased to see he was indited on SOMETHING... it's about time!
But I believe Chris is right... it will die a slow death in the courts and the signs of that are already there.. the lawyer didn't show for the first hearing... so delay.... delay..... delay.... already.
One thing concerns me... and it was a thought someone commenting on the news shared and it was the thought that neither Bush nor Cheney will be tried for war crimes and such because it would kill what ever bi-partisan coalition Obama might try to build in Congress to effect change. And I think there is probably a lot of truth to that... so I'm not very hopeful.

I think history is going to be the judge of this Administration and it's going to go down as one of the worst Presidencies in the history of this country. I agree with Chris that Obama will focus on being a centrist and will see more benefit in moving from these past 8 years and working together and knows that to go after a prosecution of the outgoing administration would be contrary to his mission.
As far as Cheney being invested in a big corporate interest that profits from human suffering and actually makes it worse? No big surprise there. But I don't think that it will be easy or maybe even possible to prove that Cheney was allowing, ordering, or looking the other way while prisoners are being murdered. It seems to me that there would be a lot of people between an inmate and an investor who should be preventing these crimes.
