Here is a cagey remark.
Wildly wired, makes me
feel like hearing footsteps
in the dark on a silent
morning at 10 degrees
above zero needing warmth
and not noise and another

I did view this over the weekend but didn't comment till now.... sorry.
Interesting.. I think jazz and certain kinds of poetry go together well...
I'm not familiar with Roland Kirk.... who were his contemporaries?

Roland was born in Columbus, Ohio, in 1936 - and died on 5 December 1997. He was also blind.
His work fascinates me. Here's an article you might find interesting: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rahsaan_Roland_Kirk

Thank you for the link.
I had never heard of him before.. I'm not that familiar with jazz. And didn't realize in watching the video that he was blind. Having someone sighted do what he does is remarkable enough.. his being blind makes it even more so.

There is more video of Roland in action on You Tube. I've only recently discovered his work - but what I've seen so far seems quite visionary.
