Gina Tabasso Video: Live in Sandusky, 8 February 2009

Great Times!   Sunday afternoon, Geri and I went to Gina's featured reading at Smith's Coffeehouse in Sandusky, Ohio.  I expected the Slavic soul sister's poetry to rock the house - and it did!  The rest of the day was pretty rockin' as well.  We got to see good friends and poets from near and far, and met some cool new ones as well.  Here's Gina in action:

I'm on my way out the door to a reading in Toledo (about a two-hour drive), so forgive my brevity and enjoy Gina's poetry.  I'll be back with more about that day (and tonight) in my next blog.

Don't forget to mark your calendars:
Gina Tabasso & T.M. Göttl (with Zach) will be the featured performers on St. Patrick's Day (17 March 2009) at Lix and Kix (806 Wine & Martini Bar; 806 Literary Road; Cleveland, Ohio at 7 p.m.).

And look for Gina Tabasso's new chapbook, Front Lines, coming soon from Pudding House Publications.

Lovely Gina!!! I loved hearing her poetry so much.. She doesn't share it often on Face Book or her blog... so thanks for this.
Are you ever going to put her in the Library sometime??? I hope so...

I first became aware of (and drawn to) Gina's work through the Cleveland Poetry Scenes book (Bottom Dog Press).  Then I found her chapbook Disrobing at the Bookstore on W. 25th and became even more enamored.  When I first befriended her online, we batted around the idea of adding something of hers to the Library, but never really finalized anything.  I'd love to do it at some point.

My name's John Burroughs, but I'm not the same one you're looking for.  I know of someone with the same name who lives in Cleveland - but I don't think he's from Sandusky.  I'll ask him and pass on your info if he's the one you seek.
