Free Poetry! I'm published twice (make that thrice) in one day!
First, Kevin Eberhardt was kind enough to publish a new poem of mine on his Rounding of the Stone site, which is one of my favorite poetry blogs. Thank you, KE! Folks can read my "CRYst" here: http://roundingofthestone.blogspot.com/2009/02/cryst.html.
Second, you may recall that my "Tooth Telling was one of 46 finalists in a recent Writer's Digest poetry contest. I didn't win first prize, but they did publish my poem today. The Red Heart :: Black Heart collection that includes "Tooth Telling" is available as a free PDF download. Check it out here: http://www.writersdigest.com/upload/images/PDF/RedHeart-BlackHeart.pdf.
Peace and Poetry,
John
[Added note:] After I originally posted this blog, I learned that my work was actually published three places today. Third is Green Panda Press' Crater Cleveland Erie: a Poets’ Indirectory vol.1 .09, which includes some of my photos. It's not totally free - but it only costs two dollars, which is mighty close. For more info, see here: http://clevelandpoetics.blogspot.com/2009/02/crater-cleveland-erie-poets-indirectory.html.

Wow, you're moving so fast, I feel like I'm standing still, lol! Congrats and kudos, JC. I love the new poem, btw!

PS and for somebody who has a brand-new camera, this blog is woefully bereft of photographic embellishment. ROTFLMAO.

Thanks, Joy! I almost didn't enter that contest - let Dianne twist my arm. I never think my "love" poems are "good enough," whatever that means, and that's what I had to send - so I was really surprised anything came from it.

This morning I discovered I was actually published in a fourth place yesterday - a Green Panda Press chapbook called Identity Crises, featuring poems by Doug Manson, Bree and me. I wanna devote a whole blog to this one when I have time - but today we have the grandkids and are celebrating Cevon's birthday - so it might not be till tomorrow or Monday.
I also have lots of pics to share from the Literary Cafe and Lix and Kix V this month - I haven't forgotten. Will share those, too, ASAP....

You're someone who, know it or not, provided a much needed push that has recently culminated in this roll. Many thanks, Smith!

Well, that's debatable... lol. But thank you, Tara! Your comment means a lot to me.
