Hit and Run Serbian Jada
Yesterday the online magazine Hit and Run published some of my poetic raw materials (specifically, pages from the 1997 prison journal where I'd written/edited my poem "Cannot Believe William S. As you might know, there have been a lot of birthdays in our family this past week or so: grandkids Jada and Dorian, brother Mike, step-dad Carl... with more yet to come this month. Here's a short video I took of Jada at Dorian's birthday party on 31 March. She just turned six, but can name all fifty states faster than I can.

I know! She did it several times, and the one time I filmed it we cut her off early - started applauding, thinking she was done, when she wasn't. I didn't realize it till I went to edit the video yesterday. Still adorable and impressive, though....

Heh, Jada's too cute.
Grats. Hit and Run is a fabulous concept. One more blog for me to try to keep up on. :-O (And I think somewhere along the way, I'm supposed to actually *write* something myself, eh? lol)

Thanks, Brian! I know the feeling all too well - so much I want to keep up with I barely find/make as much time to write as I'd like. I need 40 hours a day.

I can't believe that little angel spouting the names of all the states like that. I'll vote for her for president in 30 years if I'm still alive. I want her to lead out nation.
