Do Dew
Half awake thoughts
Are often the clearest
Unclouded by day dreams
Day schemes
Day screams
Still cool
Gently coated with dew
Soon to be evaporated into
Do.

into do if you're lucky, do-do if you're not - all due to due.

Dew be or not dew be - that is the question.

Giving this poem its due consideration, I do think it beats the doodoo out of other aubades I've read, and I am dewing in the heat of its glory. I really like it, JC! It's a perfect poem.

Very kind of you to say, Dianne... believe it or not, I could not remember what an aubade was and had to Google it.

Some sites have listed an "aubade" as a hymn to the morning, so that's what I was referring to-- not the lovers parting bit. So my word was not really on the mark-- but hey, I'm on medication.
