Uncaged in Troubadour 21
Last night's Lix and Kix featuring Ra Washington, Lisa Vicious, and Kisha Nicole Foster was one of the best ever. Thanks to everyone who came out and made it a very special evening! I'll post more about that (including photos/videos) soon.
For now I just wanna let you know my poem "John Cage Engaged and Uncaged," which I wrote last year and read at the Crosby Mint Farm this past Saturday, has been published online at Troubadour 21. Here's the permalink: http://www.troubadour21.com/johnb/john-cage-engaged-and-uncaged
They're also accepting submissions - so visit www.troubadour21.com for details and then send 'em something.
I've also added some new things to the Crisis Chronicles Online Library today. Trying desperately to catch up on everything....
The Crisis Chronicles Press publication Fuck Poetry is still on schedule to be printed by the end of this month. It's gonna kick ass!
And from the Woodstock movie: "Dig yourselves, 'cause you're groovy."
Peace and poetry,
John

enjoyed last night. that was the first time i've read The New Drool Blues in public because i've never been quite sure folk would catch the complexity and cleverness beneath the simplicity of the rhyming words.
i'm going to send troubadour 21 some poems, a foto or two, a short story, and some art. see what happens. i enjoyed meeting the detroit city folk last saturday. thanks for the ride.

Thanks for coming out to Lix and for going with us to Michigan!
I very much like the poem you read Tuesday - glad I got it on film.
