About Jesus Crisis
John Burroughs,
a.k.a. Jesus Crisis, is a pacifist, poet, playwright, musician, composer, bibliophile, and seeker in Elyria, Ohio.
Co-founder (with Dianne Borsenik) of the monthly Lix and Kix Poetry Extravaganza and the annual winter wordfest known as Snoetry, John is also the founding editor and publisher for Crisis Chronicles Press and a regular contributor to the Cleveland Poetics and Ohio Poetry Association blogs. Since 2011 he has served as the OPA's webmaster pro tem.
John founded a loose association called Poets of Lorain County, under whose auspices he's hosted regular open mic and featured poet events at the Avon Lake Public Library and the Lorain Arts Council's 737 Gallery, as well as the PoetryElyria series at Jim's Coffeehouse and Diner, the Scott M. Duncan Photography studio and other venues in his hometown.
John's work has appeared on stages in four states, as well as in numerous journals, and he is the author of six poetry chapbooks, including:

This garbage in my coffee would be poison.
He's like a little kid who impresses the adults with naughty words to show how powerful he can talk. This is manic talk and it depresses me.

Actually it is tongue out of cheek sticking out at this "asshole" who thinks he is a genius at writing.

A lot of what he's saying is a joke - he's mocking the attitude you accuse him of having.
He's making shit up. The publication credits he claims are fictitious. For example, there is no online journal called "Fetus In My Latte." He's jabbing at a very real zine called Zygote in my Coffee.
Don't be so quick to call Al Gore a dick because you think he was was totally in earnest when he said he created the internuts....

Well I am mocking the attitude that he mocks as well. How are your readers supposed to know that this is fictitious?
Seriously, however, it does remind me of the disgusting state of internet poetry and publications, so I am in agreement with this as a parody. ha ha ha

I just went back and reread this and it made me laugh in the place where he says...."go ahead Google my name.. I do every day...." Well then of course his name comes up first on the list page... LOL..
A lot of what he does is really hard work and honest advice but he also sounds really full of himself... that I guess turns me off. Maybe that is also what Hell Anne is reacting to.... but I'm not sure.
He sounds like he gets where he gets in writing because he works his ass off everyday... I don't so that is why I am. Right where I can handle for the moment.
Anyway... those are my thoughts.
