Video: "Deep Press Ion?" at Dunkin Donuts in Brunswick on 2/11/2010
Thanks to everyone who came out to my reading last night in Brunswick — both in person and in spirit! And I'd like to especially thank emcee Cheryl Srnka, the Brunswick Art Works, Dunkin' Donuts, and my good friends James and Dianne Borsenik who took us to dinner beforehand. Dianne also shot this video of me reading the second poem of the evening, Deep Press Ion? :
The Brunswick Art Works series provides a sweet, unique place to read and hear great poetry on the second Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. — with a featured poet followed by open mic. Their next four months' features (all very well worth checking out) are:
Mark Hersman (March 11th)
Gina Tabasso (April 8th)
T.M. Göttl (May 13th)
Dan Smith (June 10th)
Hope to see you there — at Dunkin' Donuts, 3868 Center Road (Rt. 303) in Brunswick, Ohio!

Thanks, Chris! In retrospect, I'd change my vocal emphasis in a couple places to make it work better.

That's why I like hearing someone read their own work... they know where they want the vocal emphasis... even line breaks don't always convey that.
