World's Longest Poetry Reading in Progress - live video feed
They began this "world's longest poetry reading" at 10 a.m. on April 2nd 2010 at Prospero's Books in Kansas City and are planning to go 120 hours non-stop. Lix and Kix are planning a longer one (probably 144 hours) for sometime in the next 9 months here in northeast Ohio. If you're reading this blog, you're invited to participate. (I'm loving this UStream site — gonna see if I can start streaming some of our readings live.)

If you have a video camera.. and Bella Dubbies has WI-Fi and you bring your lap I think that your being able to live stream L &K may just be possible.
Go for it mr. B.

That's the plan -- I'm gonna experiment with it this month.

Quantity versus quality!

Oligarchy over democracy?
Then who gets to judge who gets to read/rule?
Quality is subjective anyway.

Why would a live stream video necessarily mean poor quality of poetry? And why would it necessarily mean quantity versus quality?
Isn't it just a different way to share the poetry? People can see L & K as it happens and not have to wait till the videos come out.
The next best thing to being there I would think...
