See Gildzen, Howey and Nielsen July 21st at Lix and Kix - and more!


Saturday 17 July 2010 — Dianne Borsenik and John Burroughs, a.k.a. Lix and Kix, will read poetry during the annual Ohio Poetry Association picnic at Garfield Park (on State Rt. 309, Harding Highway East) in Marion, Ohio. All poets welcome!  Bring a covered dish and poems for the open mic.  Event begins at 1 p.m.

Wednesday 21 July 2010 at 7 p.m. The Lix and Kix Poetry Extravaganza presents featured artists Alex Gildzen (originally of NE Ohio and currently of Santa Fe, NM — author of many books including Elyria by Crisis Chronicles Press) and Cleveland's own Alex Nielsen and Christine Howey at Bela Dubby, 13321 Madison Avenue in Lakewood, Ohio. An open mic will follow.

Wednesday 4 August 2010 at 7 p.m. Trenchcoat Manifesto, Dianne Borsenik and John Burroughs will perform at Visible Voice Books, 1023 Kenilworth in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland.  See our Facebook event page for more details.

Wednesday 18 August 2010 at 7 p.m. —
Renée Alberts & Nikki Allen (bringing their cut and run poetry tour from Pittsburgh), Kisha Nicole Foster (from Cleveland) and Steve Abbott (from Columbus) will be our featured poets during the Lix and Kix Poetry Extravaganza at Bela Dubby in Lakewood. An open mic will follow.

Wednesday 15 September 2010 at 7 p.m. —
Featured artists will include Lou Suarez, author of Traveler [2010, Mid-List Press], Erie poet Monica Igras, and another poet to be announced during the Lix and Kix poetry extravaganza at Bela Dubby in Lakewood. An open mic will follow.


Wednesday 20 October 2010 at 7 p.m. — The Lix and Kix Poetry Extravaganza's 2nd annual Fuck-the-format get in where you fit in free-for-all, anchored by featured poets Jim Lang and Ben Gulyas at Bela Dubby in Lakewood.

Friday 22 October 2010 at 7 p.m. — Featured artists will include Puma Perl (from NYC) and John Dorsey (from Toledo) during the Lix and Kix Poetry Extravaganza at Bela Dubby in Lakewood. An open mic will follow.

In late 2010 or early 2011 we will be hosting an attempt to bring the World Record for the longest live reading ever to the Cleveland area. Ten days and nights! Details forthcoming....

We also have readings planned in Athens and Youngstown in 2011.  Stay tuned.
