Thurber House, Bilgere, Pics, Fuck Poetry

Thurber House - Columbus, Ohio - photo by JC

Yesterday, Dianne Borsenik and I drove to the Thurber House in Columbus to audition for an opportunity to read/perform at this year's Columbus Arts Festival (which happens the first week of June).  I read "Uncover" and "Alarm Blocks" and believe I did well though I felt like I was a bit hungover and unusually nervous.  I hear we'll have to wait 'til next week to see how we did.  I would have loved to sit around and hear all the other poets audition; but we also wanted/planned to attend George Bilgere's reading and talk going on concurrently about eight minutes away at the Bexley Public Library, hosted by the Ohio Poetry Association.  George seemed glad to see us, and we certainly enjoyed seeing him — he gave a great reading and his talk, though not quite what I expected, was interesting and engaging.

I even uploaded an album from 2005 — Horizon alumni speak at Columbus area churches

Yes, Crisis Chronicles Press has finally finished Fuck Poetry — a rough around the edges collection of work by 40 poets from around the globe (about half of them from right here in the Midwest).  I will be mailing each contributor a copy this week - unless I think I may see you at one of our poetry events in the coming month, in which case I'll make the hand off in person to save postage.  To order a copy (while supplies last), send ten dollars to 420 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Ohio — or click here to order through PayPal.

I hope you haven't forgotten about me.... or perhaps you took me out of the anthology.

I have not received a copy yet. I would hope I would merit at least two copies...
