reading, new chapbook 8/25 at bela dubby

This event is hosted by Writing Knights, who are releasing my Electric Company chapbook.  The fun will begin around 7 at bela dubby, 13321 Madison Avenue in Lakewood, Ohio, and I'm scheduled to read last.  Mighty or not, here I come.  I hope to see you there.

Looking forward to it, John- and I can't wait to see "Electric Company"! Looks like Azriel has a great lineup planned. It will be strange to be at Bela Dubby's and not be doing our Lix & Kix thing, but it'll be fun. At least, I'm feeling a little better than I have for this past week. It's been a rough one... but I think an evening of poetry is just what I need.

It was strange indeed, but still cool.  I'm pleased with how EC turned out.

Thanks!  All the poems are about meeting "electrifying" people.  Although I've played loose with the facts to make the poems better, they're all "true" - though a blot of them are older.  Only one (maybe two) poems written in 2011... and at least one was from wayyyyyyyyy back.

Thanks, that photo was a happy accident.  On Broad Street in downtown Elyria (I was mistaken when I said Chardon above) I took what I thought would be a "normal" a self portrait - and the sun took over as if to say "I'm the only star in this frame, buddy."  I never thought much of it until a few months later when I was looking through my photo files looking for Electric cover art.  It was a color photo, but the publisher wanted black and white, so I switched it using Photobucket.  Here's the original, which I might like better:
